Going out on Friday and coming home for a movie, sleeping way the fuck in on Saturday and Sunday and playing a bunch of video games and not worrying about all the various shit I gotta deal with.

Tonight's Friday night movie is Blade Runner. As for video games, just a matter of finding something to play now that I've finished Alien: Isolation (which is GOTY material.)

I have seen some videos for Alien: Isolation. It looks terrifying. What system is it for?

It seems life everyone just wants to sleep in. :)

Pretty much all platforms that aren't handheld or Nintendo. I played on PC.

The alien itself aside, the game reminded me a LOT of System Shock 2 -- the visual tropes especially, like all the searchable crates having bright green lights, but also the semi-open gameplay, the audio direction, the androids politely murdering you, and a little 451 door code gag.

(Both System Shocks used 451 as the first code you had to input, all three Deus Ex games used it, Bioshock 1 and 2 used it, Dishonored used it, someone told me even Sanitarium used it. It's a reference to Looking Glass Software's office door code which itself was obviously a reference to Fahrenheit 451.)
