What is your ideal weekend?

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2014-11-15 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
What would be your perfect weekend? And maybe tell me what you are doing this weekend.

My perfect weekend would just be staying at home alone. There would be no birthday parties, family dinners, or grocery shopping. And I'd be able to sleep in as late as I want!

Sadly, that is just a dream. This weekend I will be shopping and cleaning the house. And my sister wants to go to the local Mexican restaurant. It is a game night tomorrow so it will be packed. And I'll probably be woken up by my cats or a family member 5 minutes before my alarm goes off.

What about you all?

Go out to a great restaurant Friday night with my girlfriend. Meet up for a few drinks with friends after then head home. Spend Saturday just loafing around at home and watching TV and playing games, and then Sunday go to the farmers market for brunch and them trivia at night.

nb I have never had a gf which is probably why t his is pure donesticity-id

My knowledge of Farmer's markets is very small. They must be way more interesting than the one we have around here. The one here is just like 9-10 tables with vegetables/fruit.

And id fantasies are perfectly okay. I sometimes fall asleep thinking about stuff like that.

Sleeping in, lots of good coffee and comforting food, reading (eventually working through the Sunday paper), and getting out of the house to see a movie and hang out with friends. Farmers market somewhere in there, too.

Someone else mentioned a Farmers market. I must have never been to a good one. I have been to some awesome flea markets, but never a farmers market.

I'd spend all my free time reading too. Maybe finally finishing House of Leaves.

A weekend to myself with no obligations to anyone else. I'd sleep late, eat whatever I want or skip meals if I want, laze around the house, maybe bake something nice for myself, stay up late catching up on tv shows or reading... ahhhhh.

You and I have the same idea about an awesome weekend. Being sleepy, lazy, and unbothered. I'd probably eat terribly, unhealthy food though. Like french fries and cupcakes.

I wish I were spending the weekend in the country someplace where there were delicious meals (that I didn't have to cook or clean up after) and great fall weather and a fireplace to read by and places to take long walks, with or without a friend. A farmers' market and/or flea market in the morning, and maybe a dance on Saturday night.

I love flea markets! Back in South Carolina I went to one every weekend. Sadly, Oklahoma does not seem to have any.

Sleep in, play hours and hours of vidya, then go somewhere and do something with my friends, like hike or dive, then enjoy a bottle of wine and a movie with my bro.

That sounds fun. And makes me realize I would probably enjoy a movie day with my siste. It Game of Thrones day.

Going out on Friday and coming home for a movie, sleeping way the fuck in on Saturday and Sunday and playing a bunch of video games and not worrying about all the various shit I gotta deal with.

Tonight's Friday night movie is Blade Runner. As for video games, just a matter of finding something to play now that I've finished Alien: Isolation (which is GOTY material.)

I have seen some videos for Alien: Isolation. It looks terrifying. What system is it for?

It seems life everyone just wants to sleep in. :)

My needs are simple! I would be content with someone sexy (and funny, sweet, etc), great food and video games. And, what the hell, a shopping spree I wouldn't have to pay for. (Maybe I won the lottery, idk.)

I will probably spend my weekend doing the same thing I do most weekends...working out, cleaning and catching up on tv. Then I might play some DA2 DLC with my old characters, and read more Legolas/Gimli fic. (Such excitement. Much wow.)

A warm, not hot weekend, where I get to spend a lot of time outside.

This weekend is going to be cold and snowy where I spend most of my time in bed, or under blankets on the computer.

It is freezing here! They say we are going to get snow but they say that all the time.

I enjoy cold weather more but not snowy weather!

My perfect weekend is pretty much the same, staying at home and relaxing(whether that's watching a TV show/movie, playing games, or reading a book).

Hanging out at a friend's house with beer and video games and chips. I'm looking forward to the Christmas break so my weekends won't be as busy.

My Christmas will just make everything busier. I hope my sister can get off Christmas day. How long is your break?

I am in a city where I am near friends, my mother is miles away. I sleep in a bit, only waking up when the pet rat breaks out of their cage/pen/whatever to wake me up and I feel the cheeky little brat. I end up walking for a few hours, teach someone something online and hang out with friends and do battle reenactment and parkour. I eat something I made and it has neither eggs nor cheese in it (mum uses egg and cheese too much).

One where my IBS takes a vacation and I get to eat all the foods I love.

This weekend, I will be writing papers, stressing over my huge procrastination issues, and freezing my butt off whenever I go outside, which I have to do sometime because I'm out of food. Sigh.

I would eat burgers for breakfast while watching one of my happy time movies (prolly Blues Brothers), then stroll around the river valley for the rest of the day. Once night comes along, it's LET'S GO DANCING TIME with whoever or nobody I can drag along because I'm going to a packed place where everyone is bumping into everyone!

On the end of the weekend, I'll just chill at home eating more burgers, or maybe make pancakes with burger toppings, and laze away catching up on shows.

In reality I'm working. I'm always working. Why am I too poor to afford a burger dance party satisfying weekend >:U

My perfect weekend would be to step into a hyperbolic time chamber (without the extra gravity) and spend two weeks finishing a cosplay costume so I could step out and make the anime cons here for the rest of the year. As it stands, I suck balls at sewing and could learn but I would have to create my own patterns and I don't have a lot of time in general. Plus sewing zippers. Ugh.

But this is all in the short term. My perfect weekend would be to hang out with friends, play video games or video game marathons, go out to eat and dance, see a concert, and then go back home and kick everyone out :P
