I guess it could be trolling, but I don't really think it is. They aren't implying that it should still be classified as a mental illness, they're just wondering what caused it to stop being officially noted as such. I think it's an interesting topic

From a quick check, the decision was made in 1973 and the first edition of the DSM post-removal was published in 1974 (DSM-II, 7th printing).
