City of Owls

Finally got around to reading Vol. 1 (Court of Owls). I'm not a comics person so I come with absolutely zero prior knowledge (apart from the Burton and Nolan films). But I have to say, I'm really enjoying it so far.

I want to buy the next volume (City of Owls) but I'm too broke.

Anyone else have any thoughts/opinions on it? Does it continue to be entertaining, or does it downslide into mediocrity?
