All of my breakups have been mutual, luckily, and while we said we'd keep in touch it didn't happen.

this has been mine. We kept in touch for about a month or so after we broke up but then just drifted in different directions. Good thing we didn't have super mutual friends. My sister seems to only date within her circle and ends up making it awkward with the rest of her friends.

Drifting apart is what always happens to me. I could never date someone in my close circle of friends so that's never been an issue.
