It annoys me because, let's not beat around the bush, Tolkien had some sexist views about women. People who think women can never do anything wrong and have complex morals like men or else they're "ruined" and no longer good are putting out some sexist bullshit. Oh well, given how much he changed shit I don't think people should have to agree with Tolkien on everything.
