The amount of devout defense and justification of someone none of you actually know on a personal level is pretty fucking scary.

I wasn't aware I was in the 13-15 year old section of Tumblr.

To be fair, the amount of personal hate and smug idol-toppling certain people direct at people they don't known on a personal level either can also be scary.

Please explain how the small amount of very laid-back "defense" in this thread qualifies as "devout," let alone scary.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
Evidently, something that's not scathing criticism is now "devout defense".

Alternately, anything that is not 100% positive is "being a hater".

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, that's what it seems to be, I guess.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
huh? A counter-argument is "devout defense"?

Calm down, honey.

(Anonymous) 2014-11-18 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hah, if this is pretty fucking scary here, then you obviously don't get out much. Nor should you, for that matter. The rest of the world is going to absolutely terrify you.

The ease with which your brain transforms moderate statements into extreme justifications is pretty fucking scary. I am glad that I do not have to live in your world. I cannot imagine what it must be like, viewing everything through a pair of Extreme Viewpoint Goggles.
