Wow, should she just come over and sign a blank check to you for the crime of having money, OP? She's a millionaire now, but she, along with every other musician who worked the road and took the early rejection and kept at it, earned her money by not giving up or giving in. She's not my type of music, but the success she has was not handed to her. And she writes her own songs, so they are her product. It doesn't matter how much money she makes in a month, she's allowed to control her product.

I can't stand this woman nor her music, but the levels of "I am a consumer (who may or may not be actually paying for your work or may just be enjoying it for free) therefore I am somehow entitled to the product you create and you have no rights to decide how and where I'm allowed that product!!!" is all kinds of fucked up.

(I was going to say it was unbelievable, but I work in a different avenue of media and I see that attitude so much that it makes me wonder if anyone actually gets it anymore that a product has to have a creator somewhere along the line. It does not appear fully formed for your enjoyment, there ARE people who get affected by this sort of behaviour, and the people who DO create -- whether it's something you personally like or not -- deserve some sort of recompense for the time and effort they've put into the product in the first place.)
