If they say they don't have any rules at all for boys, they're probably lying. But if they're saying that boys don't get in trouble as often for dress code violations, there might be some truth to it. I know that at my HS girls would get reprimanded more than boys for offenses that really should have applied to both. Like, girls would get in trouble for wearing basic tank tops (not just spaghetti strap ones), but boys wearing the same style of tank top wouldn't.

Really? I know tank tops weren't allowed at my school and nobody ever wore them...

But I think some of the same applies. Girls would get busted for length of shorts/skirts on a regular but somewhat arbitrary basis. Meanwhile guys who sagged rarely got called on it (which annoyed me because sagging is kinda gross imo).

This might have been because we had a creepy dean, though. He'd bust girls and then leer at them while they sat in his office.
