10. They're not considered canon? Seriously? That's kind of news to me. I know depending on how you play the game Setzer's there at the end instead, but Locke is the person who kept Celes from committing suicide. I love LockexCeles, as well. All the early FF relationships are so much more interesting in my opinion. I love them and CecilxRosa. I'm an early FF fangirl, though.

42. The fandom scares me and I usually couldn't care less what fans think. But I agree that Rose was a lovely person. I don't understand why so many people want to bash her these days. I don't really care who people want to ship the Doctor with -- I want to ship him with the Master -- but Rose was lovely and she did impact the Doctor as did all his previous companions. I'm always seeing people ranting about how he didn't love her or how he loved all the others. Yes, he did love all the others. He loves Martha. He loves humans and obviously he's going to care deeply about his companion. Rose was the most recent companion he really became strongly attached to. It was this cute little not quite romance of hold hands and talking and I think that's why I like it.

43. I know almost all of those and the ones can't name at least look familiar. Lol.

45. ... er, but they're the same people. How can previous MasterxDoctor be canon and not be any longer. Yeah, we didn't see much of Simm Master with the Doctor but this secret really doesn't make that much sense in that regard.

I never said that Simm!Master/Ten wasn't canonical. I just said that I felt that the previous two sets of pairings were more canon; via them having more encounters and more backing for the ships themselves. While yes, I can see the basis most fans have for Simm!Master/Ten, I feel that the entire set of episodes featuring him were forced in means of 'flirtation'.

Okay. I agree that they were a little more slashable before, as well. But that's mostly the fact that Simm wasn't around but two episodes and during that time we didn't really see that much of him and the Doctor together. LotTL was mostly Martha centric and the only real moment the Master and Doctor have is toward the end. So yeah, I get what you mean.

That said, yay MasterxDoctor!

<3 Thanks. I don't think many people in the fandom would be that easily accepting of it, which is why its a huge secret for me. I see so many like, really really rabid Simm!Master/Ten fans and I get a little spooked because of my preferences.

I love the pairing to death, I just... wish there was a little bit more for the current Master/Doctor pairing. D: ~~Also, curse you fandom, provide more Ainley!Master/Five fic! :P~~

Oh, I'm pretty easy going in fandom these days, so usually as long as I find someone who at least shares somewhat similar interests I'm good to go so to speak.

I think a lot of fans just fail to realize that there was more before the new series and the Master and Doctor have a long history. I mean, they were friends once and then you have all the novels with more backstory and it's kind of impossible to not see how there's that slashy potential.

I want to write MasterxDoctor fanfic so badly, but I'm tentative about writing Ainley!MasterxFive and there's not much that can be done with Simm!MasterxTen unless you go AU. I'm also a tinsy bit scare of the fandom. x_x

That's nice to know. :P I'm generally easy going myself, started out on new!Who and then discovered that, omg, there was more? Since then, I've been in love with the classic. <3

D: Yeah, and its... not really all that hard to at least find information, you know? But I know some new fans who go: GRRR I HAET TEH OLD STUFF I REFUSE TO WATCH IT ALL ALL EVAAAAAH and it makes me sad.

-nods- Or you detail a day in the year that never was. And with Ainley!Master/Five, well, perhaps you just need to find someone who knows both well enough to help you out? xD Ah well. It just kinda BOGGLES me that there are like fifty billion Simm!Master/Ten fics and maybe... 50 other!Master/other!Doctor fics. Seriously. Its that tiny.

And, if you want, you could friend my journal? I'm not a big mover and shaker in fandom, but I loveeee having friends and stuff. If you have notifs on I can comment and then delete?

My dad was a huge Dr Who fan growing up and actually first introduced me to it. I rarely watch TV so it's taken me forever to actually catch up on it and catching up on the older series in nearly impossible. I've been doing a lot of research on wiki and such, as well.

I know my best friend is really into MasterxDoctor as far as RP goes, but she hasn't written anything either mainly 'cos I think she's scared to as well.

People just don't want to give the older series a chance, I don't think. I really prefer a lot of the stories from the older series.

And sure, I'd love to add you. Knowing that there are sane, normal people in the Dr Who fandom who ship MasterxDoctor is kind of taking off that edge of paranoia I've been having in regards to wanting to become active in it.

Just comment and delete it.

I don't understand the hating on the old stuff at ALL. Especially people Master/Doctor shippers -- why wouldn't you want all the backstory?

On the other hand, the old stuff is (for me at least D,:) hard to find, so that might be part of the fandom's sticking with Saxon/Ten? Dunno.

I wish fandom would provide more Three/Delgado!Master fic. It seems like I just can't find any. D: Especially fics that are either porny or long and plotty. *pout*

Something about me just really loves Three/Delgado and finds them utterly burning hot.

It's not that the game doesn't consider them canon, because uh, they are. It's that most of the fans I've talked to both on and off the internet, as well as in many fandom circles I've lurked in, treat it like it's up in the air. Or like it's a given that it was supposed to be a love triangle with Terra (even though her character development ultimately had nothing to do with romance). Even my old roomate insisted on arguing me down on that point, insisting that at best it was "implied".

Not that it's really a big deal- that it's so trivial, but I care at all is silly, which is why it's a fandom_secret.

I understand how it can get frustrating when people want to insist that it was only implied. I always found this more canon than a lot of the stuff that came out of FF.

42. Man, someone who likes Master/Doctor and likes Rose, too? I was starting to feel rare (minus my little internet pocket of the world).

But yeah. I like to think of the Doctor as just being really loving. And Rose was there for him and stayed with him when he needed someone most. I also like the cute hand-holding and fluff. I always have a hard time imagining it going further, actually, because it's just sweet as an unspoken almost chaste thing *odd*

10. FFVI was just a really great game. Man, now I want to replay it.

42. Most of my Whovian friends like MasterxDoctor and Rose, as well.

And yeah. I've come across porn fanfic of the Doctor and Rose and it just feels kind of wrong. That's not what their relationship was. It was sweet and chaste like you said and that's what I appreciate about it because Rose loved the Doctor because of who he was and the things he did and above all else they were friends.

10. xD Same here. But damn, I'm trying to make my way through Persona 3 right now.

42. Oh yeah, same with me. I read some porn for them but it feels so weird. Not that I'll begrudge anyone their porn, just that's not how I see the pairing. I read about something called a romantic friendship once and I think that suits them perfectly.

I'm always a little sad there's so much debate and wars in fandom over Rose. It makes me glad I stay more or less out of the fandom.

42. Yeah. Outside of cosplay I'm not involved in the fandom. It kind of scares me.

Ooh, is that your Rose cosplay? Because that looks quite nice. (I kinda wanted to cosplay someone from Who, too, actually. But I don't look like anyone)

Thank you. It was kind of a last minute thing. My best friend was crossplaying as Ten and asked me to be her Rose. It's not exactly canon accurate as of yet, but hopefully by Dragon*Con 2008 I'll have something accurate.

That'll be fun, I bet. ♥ If you end up with pictures of you guys, I'd be interested in seeing them. I've never actually seen Who cosplayers before.
