I'd love a Gundam series with a protagonist chick pilot who's as good in the cockpit as the dudes -- because let's face it, the pilots get a certain spotlight that the captains/politicians/bridge bunnies don't. Sayla was second rate to Char and Amuro as a pilot, Lalah died, Four died, haven't seen Wing, Cagalli got shafted, Stellar died, Lunamaria got a second-hand Gundam. So yeah, it would be cool if (in addition to Soma, who is awesome) 00 had a protagonist girl piloting. And Tieria would be an awesome chick, but...

. It'll take some major plot-wrangling for Tieria to be a girl.

30. I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU. I want Tieria to be a trap/girl SO HARD, even though it's probably more likely that he's some sort of, I dunno, android or god-knows-what. But it would be awesome, and if they made him a girl (or else somehow trans!), I would love the show to pieces even if they started throwing plot-twists that the HRL is secretly run by a cabal of pink elephants.

Except I think you're right, they won't have the balls to do it :/ (... no pun intended.)

22. THANK YOU. This is what annoys me the most about people who cynically bash true love romances and happy endings and certain types of female characters with claims that they 'perpetuate stereotypes and are a bad role model for little kids' or 'aren't realistic enough'.

25. I've watched both and I find I just seem to prefer the high-energy of the US show, even though the UK one is lots of fun in its own right, and I'm not really sure why. Though to be fair, I've seen far much more of the US version that I have the UK one. I know, I'm a terrible Canadian or something;;; (Ahaha, if the UK one force-fed me tea, I'd probably watch it more XD *tea fiend*)

I thought that Rose was a lovely person as well, and she definitely doesn't deserve to be forgotten by fandom. In fact, my only problems with her was how possessive she was of the Doctor and how she treated Mickey in the second season. I don't expect the Doctor to forget her either, and him referencing something she said or did every so often would be fantastic. But it was the fact that he constantly talked about her in the third season, in ways that (often) seemed to belittle Martha, that bugged me.

In short, casual references to a good character are fine by me, but constant talk makes me annoyed.
