Close family relationships are good to admire.

Is it unusual to be distant from your cousins? I honestly don't know because I'm in a weird set of circumstances with mine. I'm the youngest of the youngest of eight, so you know how many years difference there is between me and my oldest cousin? 45 years. The average age of my cousins? 25 years older than me. It's not conducive to tight, family bonds is what I'm saying.

So is this a normal in a abnormal set of circumstances or is it really odd to not be close to your cousins?
