I haven't seen the entire thing but it reminds me a lot of Keith Giffen's work. Keith Giffen is why I read comics -- he's typically doing some very out-there, tongue-in-cheek work. It's because of Giffen that I get to read comics where an angry goat/dog/rat thing in an orange bodysuit gets into a fistfight with a giant pink cat man dressed like a Japanese rock star.

I want some silliness in my comics. I'm so glad DC seems to be moving away from its angsty grimdark phase that colored so much of the early years of the New 52.

A: Great description of Larfleeze! :)

B: I'm kind of disturbed that "the early years of the New 52" is now a phrase that can accurately be said. Where did time GO?!

Oh, are they? Maybe I'll have to try again. DC's grimness drove me to indies and Marvel slowly but surely over the first year of the new 52.

It's worth sticking with it for Forever Evil alone -- that seemed to be the culmination of 2 years' worth of growth, and it looks like it's the start of something much bigger that I'm convinced will hit next year.
