So I don't know much about this guy's games, but people can change their appearance pretty easily. Hair and eye color are probably the simplest. So maybe it's a situation like that. If not, you can pretend.

The game is set in like, what, 1912? I'm pretty sure you couldn't change eye colours that easily.
