Damnit, I can't find the relevant quotations from Stanislaw Lem's "Observation on the Spot" when I need it. It was a thing of beauty. The protagonist was basically whining about the ugliness of sexual organs in humans while comparing them to the beautiful anatomy of a random alien species. Male members of the species in question had to run side by side with the female and blow pollen in her face. Or something. (It was consensual, JFYI). As a result, no one treated sex as a shameful or taboo thing.

I kind of ship Lem/satire.

Doesn't sound very consentual to me.

Nah, I misworded it. AFAIR, the female consented to a run beforehand.

(but I read it a while ago, so can't vouch).
