People we find funny and charming can be rapists. Parental figures that are in every other way warm and affectionate can be rapists. People that love us can be rapists."

I agree so much with this. We tend to frame rapists and sexual predators as being obvious criminals, but most of them aren't, and that's a big part of the problem. They're able to get away with a lot of shit because they aren't the people we're looking for.
