I'd like to see more good wizards, distressed damsels, noble heroes, evil baddies, and a good helping of elves, dwarfs, and sundry creatures in faux-Dark Age/War of the Roses era.

In other words, I am completely fine with the status quo. It is my literary comfort food as it were. Because of that, it will never get old. Although some more magical forest settings would be nice.

Lol I'm kinda this. I actually really love Northern European medieval inspired fantasy with elves (love elves! Especially generic beautiful nature-y elves), magic, dragons, and so on.

I mean, I still like developed characters and cultures, and interesting plots. But I get so sad when people say it's overdone. I love it, and it's been a long time since I've read a really good book from the default fantasy setting.

I feel that way about steampunk fantasy to be honest. I know it's used so much in fantasy but something about it I just love so much that I'm fine with it.
