Check out the Greywalker series by Kat Richardson. I haven't read the early books in a while, but from what I remember the protagonist has exactly two love interests over the course of 9 books, there are some books where she's happily single, and both love interests are human. Also notable for pointing out that if you can see the echoes of violent death, vampires would be the exact fucking opposite of sexy.
