(although the third book ticked me off a lot because it went exactly in a direction I didn't want for Dexter. The last ten pages or so made me not throw it across the room for it's awesome sticking-to-the-basics, but the majority of the book itself was shit)

7) Har >D Honestly though, I don't think Maya can escape unscathed... I mean, I *hated* her before they got rid of the bro, and when a character was introduced this shittily it's pretty much guaranteed she'll never have much of a fandom.

Well, duh. She's female (and not Claire), of course she'll be hated!

Yeah, Maya totally can't be used for Mary Sue fics. I mean... she's LATINA and has BROWN HAIR and she's NOT A CHEERLEADER - she totally sucks!

God, I hate fandom.

Canon has nothing to do with fandom! :P Nathan/Heidi is canon, but I've seen more Sylar/Heidi than Nathan/Heidi. Such is the nature of fandom.

Fandom's never been on the same or even smart side. I swear, for some of those pairings, they roll dice. It's like a random pairing generator of shit and fail.

I hate it more that Mohinder is only interesting when in the company of men he can get fucked by. ~~Dammit now everyone will know who made the secret~~ oh well I guess they did anyway at this point ...

I liked roadtrip OT3. Part of my problem with Matt in S1 was that he was written with the intelligence of a threeyear old used-up chewing gum. I liked him, but I wasn't exactly sure why... Roadtrip OT3 was fun because you could exactly tell who was in charge of Mattted's shared braincell at any given time XD

Don't fool yourself, it never was a secret in the first place <3

What about the creepiness that is Peter/Claire? The het side of fandom seems to be fanatical about that, too.

I still like to use this icon elsewhere.

There's so many things wrong with Paire I don't even wanna start... those things were wrong even before the big reveal, they've only just been made worse .

Peter/Claire is creepy, but also ne of the het ships that was SUNK SO HARD in canon. the prefering gay thing is really rather rampant in both canon and fandom on this show. Funny. Sort of.

The third book...my feelings were mixed at the very beginning, but I must admit that I loved it. In fact, I ate it up. I can understand why it ticked you off, though, and I won't..tl;dr.

I have much love for everyone who hated that bit of Dexter fanfic as much as I do :D I read a Heroes/Dexter crossover once, and downright screamed in pain D:

The third just didn't ring that true for me... the style seemed off, as did the content. With those in mind, the plot could potentially be very annoying for me, and there were quite a few things that were. But err, yes, tl;dr.

D: Heroes/Dexter? I can't understand how that would mesh..

Anyway, you have a point about the third book. I think I went with it because it was something along the lines of..."Eugh, look what happened to him, he's so fucked now." And he gets it all back, you know?
