I completely agree with all of your statements (though I might even go so far as to say I was annoyed/in complete disbelief at the second season)...

Glad that someone else understands about the fandom as a whole. You seem to have a pretty good grasp on things, though. < 3

50. See, I used to avoid comments like that on my own stuff, but you know what? It's just as bad for someone to be transparently self-depracating all the time and sometimes I think it really is awesome to be able to feel proud of something you accomplish. I mean, I can understand being peeved at people who go over the top and praise their own work all the time and WTF, but realistically liking something you wrote and being proud of the effort you put in it as well as the final product? I'm much more comfortable with that idea than I used to be, and I don't think it's a bad thing. :D

2: Angst is a legitimate type of fic. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it, but those of us who do like it and do read it aren't somehow causing problems. Also, angst is canon in some fandoms.

I think that's better than what I honestly see much more often - authors saying "omg this sucks, I'm sorry D:" but then posting it anyway, in an attempt to get you to review saying "omg this doesn't suck at all!" I think liking your work and having pride in it is a good thing, and it'll make me more likely to read it.

...of course, you could also overdo that, as well. It's best to just not comment on your personal feelings about the fic and just post it. LOL
