(although the third book ticked me off a lot because it went exactly in a direction I didn't want for Dexter. The last ten pages or so made me not throw it across the room for it's awesome sticking-to-the-basics, but the majority of the book itself was shit)

7) Har >D Honestly though, I don't think Maya can escape unscathed... I mean, I *hated* her before they got rid of the bro, and when a character was introduced this shittily it's pretty much guaranteed she'll never have much of a fandom.

17. I think some bits of the game sound a little weaker, but... I have to say, I'm looking forward to it more than T&T. It looks like it's inching towards the top. And I would love it just for Apollo and Trucy, and Nick. I wouldn't lynch you... =) And in the right places, I bet lots of others wouldn't. PW isn't a lynchy fandom, is it?

And I wish people would STFU about leaving GS1-3 characters out. OH MY GOD, they didn't keep things EXACTLY THE SAME! Wow. I mean, because obviously noone can eve enjoy anything different =\ I'm GLAD they're gone.

43. A TV writer starting out makes $5,000 a year. A well established writer makes $37,000 annually, but that salary is nothing if you live in Los Angeles. Also, TV writing is the most unstable job in entertainment. Lots of writers become unemployed due to cancellation, and residuals become their main source of income.

I get it.

I don't think it really makes much of a difference if you're a non-Asian foreigner, really ^^;; But here's what I think: Most Japanese have a pre-conceived idea of what Americans look like. And this pre-conceived idea is almost always a blond-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian. Thus, when they see someone like that, they make that association. On the other hand, I don't think Japanese have pre-conceived notions in other cases. So... they don't have any association to make. And I think they're even more uncomfortable than otherwise. ...Trying to make this sound as PC as possible and I'm failing x_x

In any case, though, I really think you're in the same boat as any foreigner there for the most part. Don't worry about it. Japan doesn't love anyone not born there (or who can otherwise make it look like they were). It's not just you.

It's so strange to see these secrets (well, there was one the other day too) about how unfriendly Japan is towards foreigners when me and my friends have always got along splendidly in Japan. I have several acquaintances who work/have worked there, and others who regularly visits. There are always a few annoyances, but overall the Japanese I've met are the nicest people imaginable (the bureaucracy is hell, though).

Of course, it helps that we're not American. The soldiers at the military bases (and the fact that there still are military bases in Japan) really have given you all a bad name, I'm sorry to say.

3. I agree and disagree? I love the book!Dexter AND Hall!Dexter. I've never dabbled in the fandom, despite my absolute fangirly adoration of the show... I kinda like Season 2? But at the same time it's not as interesting as 1? I dunno.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Hall's portrayal of Dexter. He was excellent. And you're entitled to like the second season...I just felt that it was completely out of character, to tell the truth, and that it catered wayyyyyyyy too much to the TV audience or something. :\

17. I know... pretty much zilch about GS4, so I can't really comment on the Apollo >>>> Nick deal (though I'm finding it really hard to believe). I just want to point out that the fandom is seriously not going to lynch you... for anything. It's a really easygoing fandom, I have no idea where everyone's getting these ideas that we're ravenous. \O_o/

24. WORD. G-God I love Diego/Mia like you wouldn't believe, but I enjoy writing fluff of them more than anything. The dynamic between them is just so perfect and so much fun to write that it makes the little, fuzzy things that much more delicious. Gah, I could go on for years about this.

50. ... eh. I get what you're saying, but I never really had a problem with it. Personally, I don't think anything should be displayed before the author is happy with it, but I can understand "liking" how certain fics came out more than others.

I'm glad it makes sense to you and a lot of other people.

But I really, really fail to see where it's coming from. I played the game, with the expectation that the "slash" subtext was going to be all over the place-- and the closest I got to anything was that "omg it looks like they're kissing!" shot.

Come on. Luke's got too much of an inferiority complex to ever think of Asch that way.

And Asch wants nothing more than for Luke to just... disappear.

I love a good chunk of the voice much better (WTF Orochimaru's Japanese voice suck. English makes you...IDK. Feel slimy just listening to him) and even those that don't fit as good or better then the Japanese are rarely bad acting.

And sweet Jesus the two Naruto's sound like the same person speaking two diffrent languages. Ok, maybe not THAT close, but....damn close.

Plus the director is made of awesome and win.

Srsly, who the fuck cares if they photo shopped out some blood or tweaked a line I don't really watch it for the massive blood lettings....
