Oh, I do too :D I just can't decide whether I like the idea of an irredeemable Dexter or a Dexter "who is really a good person just has very bad urges" better. They're both appealing :)

He's always amazing :[ Such a brilliant actor. Yeaaaaah, Rita is getting much brownie points this time around for me either. And Lila's just...weird. I AM an art student, so I am, weird is pretty normal and accepted at my school, and still...she's weird.

I think a balance of both would be really nice. :x I don't know, I mean, it would be nice for him if he could slowly start to get things back for himself, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't happen so automatically...or so easily, either. >_>

(The idea of an irredeemable Dexter is pretty nice, since it makes him seem impenetrable. Tempting to support only that side.)

You're an art student...I'm envious. But you know, weirdness/eccentricity is so much better than a boring/normal life. Plus, Lila wasn't just weird, she was manipulative and cruel, and she was obsessed. Such a turn off. Plus, she was pretty damn skeezy and presumptuous.

But yeah, a balance would be so awesome D: I agree that it shouldn't be such as fast as it's been, but I do think that his walls might accelerate in deteriorating with the right...incentive? Catharsis? Environment. I dunno. Just a gut feeling.

Oh, agreed :D I love my school and the city it's in because the entire place is WEIRD so no one blinks twice at very much. Huh. I clearly need to hurry up and finish this season xD I got to the part where Dexter goes to confront one of his mother's murderers... I knew he was going to lose it, and I wasn't in the mood to watch at the time xD And I still haven't picked up... I really should.

No, I understand about incoherent sentences. Don't worry. >_>

I have the same gut feeling, as for the catharsis, etc.

As for the part where you left off? I mean...seriously, the only reason I would urge someone on to watch the rest of the season is for MCH's incredible performance--somehow, he manages to channel Dexter even when the character is written as what seemed to be a completely crack!version. Such as..."if Dexter really WERE to go apeshit, that is DEFINITELY how I would imagine it happening." So for the record, MCH is just good. That's all there is to it. But there isn't much that gets me beyond that and just some mild curiosity to see what happens.
