2. Is this going to have to be on a T-shirt or something? Your personal opinion is not the end all be all truth. What you think smut should be is not necessarily the same as what other people think. What you do is not what everyone else has to do. Don't like, DON'T READ. And as to the ill-wishing part, don't make me laugh. The very fact that you're all writing fic for RP fandoms means that you are, on some level, living vicariously through real people. Writing happy, fluffy smut about two band members isn't wishing them well anymore than writing an angst fic: it's indulging your personal fantasy, it's all in your head. Once you've come to terms with that, everything is fair game.

25. Give me one good reason why. Those three spend most of their in-game time not being in the same room as each other. The fandom created the OT3 - in canon it can hardly be considered 'existent'.

Okay, saying you don't like the OT3/prefer individual pairings/think it's overrated is one thing (I could do with less of people insisting it's a "canon threesome" myself) but uhhh did you seriously just call it nonexistent when all three characters pretty much spend both games trying to save and get back to each other? Because, see, they don't like this state of affairs where they spend most of their in-game time not being in the same room as each other. That rather suggests there is an existing relationship there.

By your standards, the only relationships that exist in the game are Leon/Yuffie and Sora/Donald/Goofy.

By my definition, the only relationships that exist in the game are Mickey/Minnie and the likes. OT3 =/= a great and noble friend ship, which admittedly Riku, Sora and Kairi have. The threesome is nonexistent.

And if you refer back to the secret, the OP said that they wished real life OT3 were like this one. Not real life friendships, not real life bonds: real life OT3. There is no canon romance in KH beyond those of the Disney characters; leanings do not count. Again, I insist that SoRiKai the OT3 is a product of fandom.

Then say 'they're just friends, the threesome doesn't actually exist in canon'; saying 'they're barely ever in the same scene!' makes it seem like you're putting down their entire relationship, not just the idea of them as a romance.

(Also, eh, I have a screwy definition of OT3...most of mine I'm happy to admit that they're more inextricable friends than anything in canon, and I'm fine with it. To me it's evolved to mean more than just 'three people having sex,' as opposed to 'threesome.' But fandom language is weird and personal.)

Do you really think that's what OT3 generally means in a fandom context, or is that just for the sake of this argument?

I fail to see where exactly in my original comment I seemed to be implying that there is no relationship between those three whatsoever. The OP said 'I wish real life OT3s would work as well as theirs', so I challenged them to give me a reason to believe this, since I hardly ever see them together doing their OT3 things, and when they are together... hey, no OT3 things either! And then I affirmed that the OT3 doesn't exist in canon.

Sure, it's open to misinterpretation, but I find the 'Then say' in your last reply a bit rich. That's not what I meant at all, you leapt to that conclusion. The most I can do is clarify, but why should you get to tell me how to make comments? :)

You may not have meant that, but it's certainly how it came off when you chose to focus on their lack of screentime together rather than their lack of romance. If someone makes an unclear comment and then tries to insist it means one specific thing when I challenge them on it, of course I'm going to tell them to be more clear about it next time. It's not about me 'getting to' do anything to you, it's about communication. The fact that you're complaining about it only indicates you don't have any better way of defending what you said. Admit you should have phrased it more clearly and move on already.

I have already admitted that, not just once. But, just wondering, if that wasn't what it meant, yet still meant that to you, then... who's making the mistake here?

Oh, but then it seems I've pissed you off. That I certainly didn't mean to. I'll be moving on now, as per your suggestion, seeing as I really can't defend my argument anymore than I've already have, and apparently it's still going to mean something else entirely to you anyway. You... keep doing what you do. Patrol those Internet comments, keep 'em nice and concise, the public thanks you and wishes you a merry Christmas :)

Ah, then that would be a good reason. I still think that kind of expectation is whack though, it's not like that relationship wasn't fraught with jealousy and betrayal and spatial separation.

No, I agree with you. When they WERE together in KH1 there was lots of nasty undercurrent re: Kairi, and while it seems happyhappy enough by the end of KH2, Riku and Sora seemed perfectly content to sit on a dark beach as damaged goods without her for eternity.

I don't even like the pairing, and I just sat there going, "Gay gay gay gay gay gay wtf" all through it.

you know, they make medication for this type of anger and rage to help you deal with it.
