3 - I really love the show, the books are next on my reading list. (I have real respect that MCH was able to keep a grasp on the character besides the offness he was often presented by the script.) And it's funny, I hate those same things done to just about any character in any fic.

I have really serious respect for MCH for the exact same reason as you--he stayed really well in character in spite of the fact that the character was written into a damn crazy circle. That, and the fact that he portrays the character so well. < 3 I'm sure you'll love the books if you really liked the show--it all just seems so perfect. I read them after the first season and thought to myself, "Now...this is just perfect." It was as if the character had been fleshed out from the linework or something. :)
