Re: Ferguson general

Only it's not just tumblr but also all other sorts of social media, as well as normal media. And it's coming from people from my own country. And what should I stand up against? It's annoying, which is why I mostly ignore it, but the hell I'm going to bitch at the people who do care about it that they shouldn't. Because it's their right to care, but it's also my right not to care as much. But it is pretty striking that even official news platforms only really seem to care about the Ferguson matter and conveniently forget about much more important (or equally important) issues.

And the only person who gets really too invested in this is you. Maybe you should take some time off from the internet as well, because you are the one who seems to care overly much what a stranger on the internet who doesn't even live in the same country as you thinks about the matter.

Wow, I think you're projecting. I was reacting to your bitchfest, nothing more. Care or don't care, it doesn't affect me in the slightest. But you seem super disgruntled that people care more about it than you do.

If they're saying you're terrible for not caring as much as they do, then stand up against that. If they're just implying that people who don't care as much as they do are terrible people, then let that shit roll off your back.

You have a scroll button. Use it.

"It's annoying that people won't shut up about it" is a bitchfest now? You have really, really low standards (by which you are the one throwing a bitchfest right now, just saying). You are awfully fixated on this. It's people like you who apparently can't deal with the fact that someone might not care about it as much as you do who make this annoying. If it didn't affect you in the slightest - like you claim- you could have heeded your own advice and just scrolled past my post instead of replying.

"When you get about the 50th "SIGNAL BOOST" thing of the day from every side, complete with the typical peer-pressure rethoric that not caring about this makes you a terrible human being, the feeling of "having to care about it a lot" isn't exactly far-fetched" is a bitchfest.

I'm agreeing with you that you shouldn't have to care if you don't want to, ffs. Suddenly this is a cardinal sin or some such shit. Grow thicker skin.

I was only replying to the "...why are you supposed to care? Especially "a lot"?" comment, though, nothing more.

Other than that, I think this discussion was kind of a misunderstanding, but you still might give the thicker skin a try yourself.
