I even enjoyed the farting aliens compared to Daleks Take Manhattan, or that pirate/black mark episode. There are quite a lot of stinkers in DW, that's for sure.

Anyway, the farting aliens 2-parter had Annette Badland, who is a thing of delight. For me, she made up for everything.

I loved the possessed 50s TV set episode with Maureen Lipman, during the RTD era, and the recent Robin Hood ep was great also. I can't see any marked decline or improvement one way or the other.

DW has always been patchy.

The farting aliens two parter also had Harriet Jones, MP Flydale North. AKA the epitome of awesomesauce.

And yeah, DW has always, even in the '60s, been one week, awful nonsencial shit, the next week, wildly creative brilliance, the next week, crackily fun nonsensical shit. Total lottery.

Yup. I actually liked those episodes. They were cheesy, yes, but at least they were fun.

More cringeworthy than cheesy if you ask me.

Maybe it's me. I also think fart jokes are hilarious. I'm immature like that.

Yes, we know who you are!

My favorite episode was written during the Moffat era. However, my least favorite episode (which doesn't seem strong enough to describe how much I hate it) was also written during the Moffat era, so -shrug-

Daleks take Manhattan was in the RTD era. Or were you referring to Angels take Manhattan?
