I find polyisoprene more durable than latex. Also more comfortable.

Although... I'd be remiss if I didn't at least suggest the idea of sabotage. I had a high condom breakage rate with one (and only one) of my girlfriends, and I have reason to believe she was poking pinholes in them. Do you think that's a possibility?

This is the first thing that I thought of, too.

It sounds horrible... but from what everyone else is saying, condom breakage sounds really unusual. Especially 90%. Considering OP seems to be doing most things right to ensure no breakage occurs w/r/t storage and stuff, it's a possibility they should consider.

How much do you trust your partner, OP?

i trust him, all things considered. i really do think it might be a mix of things, probably condom size and how rough we are. we arent dating or anything so he has no reason to want to impregnate me especially considering we're both in college and short on cash.

When guys break condoms, it's not about wanting to get someone pregnant. They do it because they don't like how sex 'feels' with a condom on. I've known a lot of guys who will do stupid shit like that and then try to talk the girl into an abortion/tell the woman he has no interest in a kid etc

yeah i know thats a big concern for him too. he cant get off with a condom on (thats why i mentioned i tend to finish him off with a handjob). but he habitually checks on the condom every minute or so and will stop us if he thinks it might have broken, so im not concerned that hes intentionally sabotaging them.

no no, this guy doesnt have any experience using condoms so he lets me put them on, and we've used both his and mine. in fact mine were more likely to break than his, and i got mine from planned parenthood. :/
we're just friends too and hes really secretive about our fwb status so i dont have any reason to believe he'd want a kid with me.
