Re: condoms

I saw, upthread, you said the guy you're sleeping with doesn't get off with a condom on -- does he say he can't feel things?

My guy said that, but he was getting standard condoms in 3-packs from 7-11. Then I introduced him to TROJAN Ultra Thin Lubricated Condoms. They make a HUGE difference, and they don't have a higher break rate than any of their other condoms (which, last I checked, are best in the North American business). I haven't seen him in a few months, but I think I've converted him, from his convenience store find.

Japanese condoms are the best made because they were the only legal form of contraception for so long. Try some of those?

And definitely change size. Average length (in NA, again) is only about 4-5", with a 3-4" circumference. The condom shouldn't be a snug fit at all -- he should have room to move, with the condom only snugging up around the base of the penis.

Keep putting them on just like you have, and using lube. I don't get wet, either, and it's just as important for my comfort as the integrity of the condom -- dry rubber doesn't feel any better rubbing against a vagina as it does on a penis.

Actually, that's a thought: Are you getting lubricated condoms? If not, maybe putting a little bit of lube on his penis before rolling the condom on? Not enough so it slips off, but that may have something to do with it breaking so often.

i'll definitely try that next time; ive asked him before if he wanted lube that way before and he's declined with apathy so the friction might be causing the breaks. i still find it hard to believe but tbh i find it hard to believe theyre breaking so often in the first place lol

Just try it a drop at a time, or so. And get a kind you like the taste of. :P

i actually didn't know a snug fit was out of the ordinary/indicative of a small condom. i thought they were supposed to be snug :( guess i know less than i thought.

i wouldnt say theyre SUPER tight on him but enough that im thinking that could be the problem. size/friction seem to be the most likely reasons. i'll look into your condom suggestion, thank you!

You don't want it to puddle or pocket, but in my experience, a good fit means you can turn the condom around the penis with ease.

Good luck with all these ideas! Hopefully something on here works for you two.

TURN it? Admittedly, as a straight guy I've only got my own dick to go on here, but... that doesn't sound right to me at all.

DA

Like you would sometimes when putting on a sock on your foot.

AYRT

OA used a perfect analogy! We're looking for comfy socks, here, not stockings.

Or kitchen gloves, vs. doctor gloves.
