I don't know what Slytherfans are like. I know that being an SJW doesn't mean your interests are perfect because I am one and my interests are not perfect.

Slytherfans think the people who think all non-magic people and people-who were-born-to-non-magic people are subhuman scum are actually the good guys in Harry Potter.

So they think the Wizarding Supremacists like the Malfoys are the good guys?

DA, but pretty ,much. I knew a fan like that. She also tried telling me Hitler didn't really hate Jews, though. I cut her off after that.

I would've cut her off too. Just said "He had a funny way of showing it." and just left.

I know there are people who like Syltherin house/characters but I didn't know THIS level of it existed!

How can you miss the point of an entire series of books so badly?

Well, to be fair, they're a vocal minority. There are plenty of normal fans who just think Slytherins are interesting and underexplored.

I have a feeling that vocal minority are made people who *were* just like the Malfoys back when they were in school, and still haven't figured out why their classmates didn't like them and are now taking out their frustrations by insisting the Malfoys etc were totally awesome.

Oh I wasn't having a go at the idea of finding Slytherin interesting. I like a lot of villains/bad characters so I'd be a hypocrite if I said nobody was allowed to enjoy (as you say) exploring the house and its members further. After all, we know there are a handful of wizards from that house who weren't bad.

Shame for those fans that people are more likely to remember that minority saying things like "the Malfoys were right"

Also personally I can't even like Draco from an enjoying villains POV because he's like the male version of one of my worst school bullies so it makes my skin crawl.

Yeah, I think the Slytherins are way underexplored (and probably not evil), but I don't think Voldemort and Draco count. I wrote a pro-Slytherin at a site known for having many "sympathetic Malfoy/Voldemort/other DE" fanfics, and no one reviewed. It was telling to me, although some of it may have been that the fic was awful. (I don't know that it was, this was probably before the sixth Harry Potter book was published.)

Same. Alternatively, they weren't like Draco per se but were misunderstood for various reasons (or thought they were), and they've mixed up having been a goth with having been a racist bully.

SA - I can't type tonight! That should be "probably not ALL evil."
