Re: Netflix might be replacing movie theaters.

I can't disagree with Netflix. The problem with movies these days is that TV shows have gotten so good. They have the same FX shots, the same continuous storylines, the same great actors...what is my motivation to watch a movie instead? So movies try to distinguish themselves by being IMAX or 3D or whatever the hell, and their last-ditch, fingers-dangling-on-the-ledge effort to keep audiences watching is to limit accessibility. It's only going to work for so long. Just like HBO finally gave in and is becoming available as a stand-alone.

Also, home televisions are getting much bigger and better-quality. Unless you just love going to the theater for whatever reason, there's becoming less and less motivation to do so.
