No, no -- I DEFINITELY don't want it to look like the prequels but when you compare the first prequel film (TPM) to the first original trilogy film (ANH), things in the universe looked so different -- the yellow/chrome Naboo star fighters, Padmé's way of dress vs Leia's, the more romantic/ostentatious style of the PT vs the more rugged/industrial style of the OT. TPM took place about 30 years before ANH. And in the new film, it will take place about 30 years after ROTJ. And yet…things look exactly the same. The stormtrooper armor has only minor differences. The X-wings look the same. Daisy's character is dressed just like Leia was on Endor.

There were a few new things -- like the Ball-droid and the lightsaber -- but it felt really rehashed to me.
