It's the world building. The trailer reminded me how alien and vast Star Wars is. And that's what I love the most about it.

I guess I'm still a bit puzzled because it seems to me like the new trailer didn't really show any new environments. It showed forests and deserts and water, but we've already seen plenty of those.

I thought the prequels had some cool environments -- Coruscant, the Gungan City, Kamino, the Wookiee planet -- but the teaser seemed to go for familiar locales more than anything alien.

NAYRT

For me, it's not about "Oh look at all this new stuff! I'm excited!" it's about *returning* to that universe. I don't need new worlds and environments, I need a good story in the universe I already love. And this reminded me of the things in the universe that I love.

Except the soccer ball droid and the hilted lightsaber. Those were dumb. New, but dumb.

I actually liked the ball droid. It was cute and Star Wars has always been somewhat whimsical. Although I agree about the lightsaber.

OP, that's it! That's what I love about it. It's about returning to the world I first fell in love with as a kid.
