Hobbit 3 Spoilers

(Anonymous) 2014-12-03 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
So, now that the Hobbit's had its premiere and the spoilers are rampant, what do you think? Are you still excited? Is there something that's made your day or something you're dreading?

There will be SPOILERS in this thread.

Still ridiculously excited. I need to go find spoilers. I like spoilers. I don't care. And I'm one of those who loved the first two, though they weren't quite as good as LOTR. I just really, really love Middle Earth regardless of whether it is in book or movie form. More, please.

If you like spoilers, you should check out:

Poke around a bit. One reviewer gave a blow by blow that pretty much gave the entire movie so that might be a bit much but a lot of other reviews have good spoilers in them. I'm happy to be spoiled since I think I won't be letdown then.

My excitement has been diminishing for awhile now. The news about Tauriel and Kili annoys me (though I had heard originally that she friend-zoned him and I was happy with that). I'm withholding judgment on a lot of stuff until I see it. But, the fact that there's no funeral and no resolution to a lot of storylines frustrates me. I don't think even the EE could salvage it at this point.

I understand Smaug dies about ten minutes in, so there's me done for. The only thing I was looking forward to was a ton of dragonage.

you're in the wrong fandom.

I said through all the padding of the first movie and a half--I've *earned* more than ten minute of Smaug!

The spoilers concerning Tauriel just prove to me how much of a useless, one trick pony of a character she was. Disappears right after the awful love story met it's end? Good riddance.

The majority of Dwarves in Thorin’s company had zero lines. Only the main ones (i.e. Balin, Dwalin, Fili and Kili.)

As someone who's in this for Bofur- what the chocolate covered FUCK?!

Yeah, I liked him way better than any of the others. Thorin's a huge tool and I hate how they bent over backwards to make him more likable (I still think he comes off as a tool).

I caaaalllllledddd iiiiitttt that Kili would die protecting Tauriel. People shouted me down over it, called me tons of unmentionable things, and went on and on about how they would never do something that cliche and dull. I was like...guys...have we been watching the same thing? It's stuffed with dull cliches.

I'm not going to gloat in anyone's faces, but goddamn if that spoiler didn't give me a deep little glow of evil satisfaction.

On the other hand, I am pretty pissed off about it as someone that loved the book and at least liked the other two movies. 'Cause...well, cliche and dull. The love triangle thing should never have happened in the first place.
