The ending makes me so conflicted because even though Malcolm is a bastard he's a magnificent one so the audience want him to have an epic departure, not that. But at the same time it was so fitting that the spin doctor ends up with nothing to say. The fact Ollie will crash and burn spectacularly after getting what he thinks he wants makes me feel a bit better about it all though.
