I hate New Years. My birthday is on New Years but a combination of being out of school plus everyone being drunk/hungover/holiday-d out, I never had birthday parties growing up. I can recall one when I was like 8. And it was just my siblings and parents. :

If it makes you feel better, I haven't had a birthday party since I was, like, thirteen. And a lot of people I know don't have them anymore either.

My birthday is December 22nd. I feel your pain.

These days we just go out to dinner. It's simple and I get a free meal out of it.
