(Anonymous) 2014-12-05 02:08 am (UTC)(link)I know what you mean. I don't see that as often nowadays, but it used to be annoyingly prevalent. I think the fandom that drove me the most crazy with it was Ranma 1/2. Half the time when writers paired Ranma with another dude, they would have him ~magically~ get permanently stuck in his female form and then only refer to him as "she" so that they could hook him up with dudes without feeling like they were writing icky yaoi. It was so dumb
