Another example from a recent Sleepy Hollow: Katrina is actually DYING from being impregnated with a demon and Crane spends ten minutes telling her how bad he feels that he got her into that situation. And then she has to soothe him and tell him everything is going to be OK. Remember, she's dying...but HIS emotional angst over his part in the situation is way more important!
