I'm making no assumption whatsoever. I actually literally said that a) I don't even find it that terrible and b) this protective thing? I think it's pretty irrational. I only described what it felt like for me, reading about gay characters in het relationships. I never said anything about the intentions of the fanfic writers who do that.

And yeah, I really don't care about why you feel compelled in this magical mystical way to just ship a character. I never said anything about people controlling who they want to ship, so don't go putting words in my mouth and bemoan the fact that you're not one of the lucky people who can control their shipping urges (wtf).
