Slightly OT, but (hopefully) fanfic-specific tropes that I loathe:

- Kidfic where one half of the OTP is adopted by the other half's family, who then encourages their love affair when they're older. Bonus points if the author paints social services as evil when they object to that shit. Just, ew.

-The "Character A gets raped and Character B thinks s/he cheated on them and dumps them publicly, and all of their friends side with B and shun A, until someone hands them a clue and then they get back together and everyone's happy" trope. It would be unpleasant no matter what, but the fluffy ending just adds an extra layer of suck because you've already demonstrated that B is an ass and that A needs better friends.
