If you have a thin metal cooling rack (like for cakes) that fits inside the sheet pan you're using, put the bacon on that. It will drain better and get crispier on both sides. If you're having problems with your bacon curling up, consider putting another sheet pan on top, with a weight of some kind.

All the cooling racks I have are rather tall for that. I have heard somewhat crinkled aluminum foil also helps with drawing grease away from the bacon, so I'm going to try that.

Should help. If you have heavy-duty aluminium foil, acordian-pleat it and unfold, it will hold its shape decently. This is very unlikely to work with standard aluminium foil though.
