Yeah, I think I managed to make excuses for that scene because she asked Alec if he wanted her to stop, but it was basically the magical version of expecting someone tripping on date rape drugs to make sound decisions. And then Seregil makes it worse because he has more issues than National Geographic. Probably the scene was only there to take the creepy edge off Seregil eventually bedding a kid half his age, but it still could have written as...not-assault.

Seregil's like 70 and Alec's...something less than 20 when they actually get together.

Half his age would be a vast improvement.

He's the author's favorite, and he reads like it, too. Maybe that's part of the reason more people aren't squicked by the age difference; if you go by emotional maturity they're both teenagers. I think Alec actually comes out ahead by a long shot lol

doesn't he appear a lot physically younger as well? I think he's consdiered a young adult by Aurenfaie (or whatever the hell it was) standards. fans usually don't care how old a character is if they're hot and look young-ish
