ITA.

He's not perfect, but show me a writer who is. At this point I'm honestly not pro or anti. It's the vehemence of the anti-Moffat people that make it so ridiculous.

It's gotten to the point that when I read meta/reviews/articles about Sherlock or DW I quickly scan the entire text to see how many times his name pops up. If it's more than the situation warrants I assume it's because the author is anti-Moffat and the whole thing will be biased.

Seriously, entire pieces blasting Moffat when the ep had Gatiss' name on it. Or with DW, I've heard people say they hate Moffat's writing and it's such a shame because Eleven's their favorite Doctor. Do these people not realize he writes that too?

I remember a comment on this community accusing Moffat of homophobia and evil queerbaiting... and the episode was written by Gatiss.

da

lol yeah, I saw that a lot on tumblr too. inevitably, once they were informed that Gatiss wrote the episode then they switched to screeching about internalized homophobia instead

You can like the way a character is written, but not the stories he's in. Fifth Doctor is my favourite, but I can't stand most of his episodes, and hate some of his companions. Same with Eleven. I like his personality but there's so few episodes I would ever bother to rewatch, and Amy and Rory did nothing for me.
