Well. I have a glass computer desk. And I got a new wardrobe with two very heavy sliding doors. And while I was setting it up, one of the doors that were leaning against the wall thought "Hey, why not fall over". Nearly flattened me but I could get away. fell on my desk instead. Desk miraculously stayed intact, only some of the metal parts were bent a little. But the door fell on a corner and that made my monitor go FLYING. Very glad that it already was a flatscreen... But yeah, still damaged beyond repair.

And then there was that time where my old computer's hard drive broke and there was no way to get to the data anymore. Lost quite a few writing projects. Since then, I obsessively run backups every few weeks.
