I want to see a soulmate AU where the soulmates don't get together. Lucy is like "listen Susan, I get that we're supposedly soulmates but I've put so much time and effort into this relationship with Mary that it'd be way too late to back out now just because you're Easy Mode. that's what i've kinda unintentionally done. my old hangouts shifted more sjw-y and younger, so i always felt like i was walking on eggshells, ended up never saying much, and eventually left. and i also feel like fandom's become a lot more ironic about how they enjoy things, so unabashed "this is so cool, you guys" is seen as uncool and childish.
