Worst thing to happen to my personal computer? Hard drive died. Fortunately, it was sending off wheezy-about-to-expire signals, so I had everything backed up.

Funniest "worst" thing at work? I had a computer's RAM catch fire when I plugged it in. There was a flash of light, and the CPU fans were suddenly blowing this acrid plastic-melting smoke everywhere.

Worst "worst" thing at work. I lost a server. Due to stupid technical reasons that thankfully weren't my decision, when we recovered the server, we lost our email. This was a while ago, and this is why we always now follow industry recommended setups.
