Once my dad made what he called "tofu donuts."

Basically he took chunks of tofu, fried it until it was the consistency and flavor of rubber, then put powdered sugar on top and tired to feed it to us.

The dog, who regularly ate my crayons as a child, wouldn't even eat them.

I mean, the idea of fried tofu for desert is not a bad one. It was just how it was prepared. Trust me, I am not exaggerating at all when I say it was like eating rubber.
