It doesn't, but it's easier to ignore in the soundtrack version. Also it plays up again as the credits start rolling, so there's that happy ending element to it.

ETA: Also also, there's the sort of between the lines takeaway that, even if you think that you're suffering alone, there are people caring about you, even if you don't know it.
