I'm confused about the fear. What's the worst that will happen if you say this to them? I know some terrible things can happen on tumblr but I don't know why you would be following the sort of person you thought would do them. And if you're not following them then why can't you just ignore the post like people do with every other ridiculous thing people say unless it's something that could get them called a SJW?

I had a [former] friend who would...not take kindly to you disagreeing with them on stuff like this. Not in a big public explosion kind of way, but oh god would they feel like they had to prove you wrong/be passive aggressive for a good while about it. So I can see where this would be thing.

[It's also worth mentioning that said former friend was also my roommate, so that also had an impact.]

Yeah that's true. I mostly stick to talking to people who can handle disagreement and I kind of forgot other people don't. I do have a friend who may not be my friend anymore--I'm not even sure at this point--who could be like that, but the only reason those annoying times happened was because I've known her since before I started having these kinds of discussions.
