I'm actually Bigender, and as such fall under the Trans umbrella.

I can understand if you dislike misrepresented or badly executed Trans characters in fic, OP. However, I'd like to say that I personally like the surge of all the GOOD representation I'm seeing in fanfiction lately! Some people are actually doing their homework, and it shows. The easy inclusiveness of Trans characters in fic makes me feel good; I feel that most mainstream media ignores completely, plays for laughs, or is overly ham-fisted with Trans issues (all equally bad in my book), whereas most fic seems to really focus on Trans struggles and (usually) ultimately have a positive message that make me happy.
