#9: Oh, oh my god. I could scream. I disagree so hard. I love depth and metaphors and I wish there was more of it in fanfiction. I like reading because of the plots and thinking and complications; that's why I prefer it to video, or television, where all of the inferences are handed to you and subtext is rare. I love convoluted plots in fanfiction, and I can't stand reading things that are too simple; I walk away feeling as if I haven't accomplished anything by reading it other than spending (wasting!) time.
